A project exploring the boundaries between object and subject - at what point does the human body become simply an object? Can the object itself stand as a witness to a persons' life? By presenting simple childhood objects and collectables from my own possession, some with anatomical cross-sections to create a blurring of boundaries, I invite the viewer to not only witness my own life but to consider what the objects they surround themselves with may say about their own identity.

'Witnesses To My Life' consists of one oil painting with the same title, as well as an accompanying installation of 'Specimens' featuring vintage toys, altered toys, and miniature watercolour paintings. ('Specimens' is shown here installed as part of 'Ekstasis' at The Ruskin Gallery, Cambridge)
